Show the number of new messages on the inbox tab of the space
We want to show the number of pending unread messages on the inbox tab of the space.

Note. BuddyBoss is doing a lot with messaging. The customer will expect messaging to work in a similar was to the BuddyBoss messages. Is there a way to leverage their technology? BuddyBoss is developing live messaging now to further enhance their core messaging, caching and notifications. It would be ideal if you could leverage this and not have to reproduce it while keeping the UX similar for users. Not sure what’s possible there but worth considering if/how to use their APIs.
Paul, it’s probably not possible to leverage/integrate the BB messaging, but you might want to check this detailed feature request that I created to somewhat address this problem by more tightly integrating Spaces messaging from a visual/workflow perspective.
